WGB maintains ties with several nonprofit organizations devoted to textiles.  Generally, these organizations contribute informational material about their programs and a subscription to any publication they offer to the WGB library.  The relationship sometimes entitles WGB members to discounts, access to educational materials, etc.  A large part of the relationships is mutual publicity and networking opportunities with other weavers.  For the full benefits these organizations offer, individual memberships are encouraged.
